Due to the combination of calcium hydroxide and iodoform and the induction effect of these two substances, Metapex calcium hydroxide with Iodoform is a biocompatible root canal sealer that may be used either temporarily or permanently. It can be used to encourage the healing process. Because these two substances boost the induction effect for hard tissue induction and deposition, they are used to promote healing effects and to assist avoid bacterial contamination of the canal. This is accomplished by the use of the product. To be used as a medication for the treatment of root canals that are infected, as well as a permanent, low-volume additive to the filling process of a root canal that has been treated, in order to assist in the induction and deposition of hard tissue, which will make the healing process more rapid and complete.
